Inlabtec Serial Diluter Sample prep done cleverly
The Inlabtec Serial Diluter range is the 21st century alternative to using test tubes for performing dilution series for microbial testing (patent pending). These systems are fully ISO-compliant and offer unprecedented cost and quality benefits in combination with maximum environmental relief.
Main benefits Demo Videos :
• Prefilled test tubes not needed anymore
• Automatic and Intrinsically safe dilution process
• Direct radial mixing for constantly high data quality
• Simple and easy replacement of existing dilution protocols
• Pays off quickly and preserves resources
• Swiss Quality ensures long term reliability
Dilutions reduced to sampling
Add the sample with the 1ml tip or straw into the first bag, connect the dosing arm and simply press the grey button. During automatic dilution it’s just enough time to load the pipette with a new tip and begin to enter the bag for sampling.
The user is freed from the tiresome handling of test tubes and caps as well as of mixing manually. Moreover, precise pipetting is simplified as the sample is completely flushed out by the diluent ensuring accuracy and reliability of dilutions. More on pipetting vs rinsing
The Serial Diluter makes performing dilution series fast, reliable and comfortable regardless of the individual skills and experiences of the user. See the results of proficiency tests
How does mixing work? Basics of the basics
New: The Serial Diluter TA12
With the Serial Diluter TA12, a twelve-step serial dilution is a breeze! The telescopic dosing arm makes it easy to change between the two rows of six serial dilution bags each.

Homogeneous dilutions by direct radial mixing
By pressing a button, 9 ml of diluent flow through the tip with the sample into the bag and form immediately a counter clockwise liquid vortex. A sterile air blast causes turbulences which shortly afterwards end into a second clockwise vortex.
This direct radial mixing process leads to perfectly homogeneous dilutions - Every time by every technician, unlike the test tube protocol, where mixing by manual vortexing is difficult to standardize consistently. See for yourself how to do best with test tube protocol and see two technicians working in a comparison Serial Diluter vs Test tubes. The technician working with test tubes have been faster in the competition. But did he and the lab win with it?
Easy installation for standard as well as special dilution series
Commissioning is comparable to a gravimetric diluter and done by inserting hoses in the pinch valves and the pipette into the holder. See demo installation or on YouTube.
Liquid volume setting is straightforward – simply place the sensor alongside the scale of the pipette at 9 ml for ten-fold dilutions of 1 ml sample or at any other volume for dilution series required for special purposes, e.g. 1 in 5 (1 ml sample to 4 ml diluent), 1 in 100 (0.1 ml to 9.9 ml). The adjusted volume can be simply checked by a quick look at the meniscus position of the liquid.

High quality system
The Serial Diluter is a Swiss product of the highest quality for daily routine work. Maintenance is limited to the sporadic change of sterile filter and adhesive gripper.
Each Serial Diluter is supplied as a ready-to-use system including tubing set, dispensing nozzle, connector cap GL 45, box of Serial Dilution Bags and a bagshell.
The Serial Diluter complies with the requirements of the standard method ISO 6787 / ISO 7218. Thousands of samples of all kinds and origins are reliably diluted daily. See Inlabtec selection of tested samples and Campden BRI, UK, tested samples.
Built in Swiss quality for intensive daily use
Permanent system sterility
Sterile filters aerate the bottle with the diluent and the 10 ml pipette installed. As the Serial Diluter does only dispense the diluent connected and the dispensing nozzle itself never comes into contact with the sample, the system sterility is reliably secured until diluent is completely depleted regardless of how long it will take.
